Pret a Manger subscription aimed at a niche target market
Pret a Manger has announced it will launch a new monthly subscription offering people five drinks a day in an effort to boost sales and footfall. The new service will enable subscribers paying £20 a month to enjoy up to five coffees, hot chocolates, teas, smoothies or frappe drinks a day, every day. Can Eat Out to Help Out be extended independently
The final figures released by HM Treasury for the Eat Out to Help Out initiative show that over 100 million covers were claimed at a cost to government of £522 million. With 84,700 restaurants taking part, on average each restaurant sold 1,180 covers in August under the initiative. McDonald’s sued for racial discrimination by over 50 former black franchisees
US media is today widely reporting that over 50 black former franchisees have filed a law suit against McDonald's claiming racial discrimination.
