Eating out sector to grow with consumer confidence
Trading through the eating out sector is likely to improve further this year, although it’s still a long way off peak 2008 levels, according to foodservice consultancy Horizons. The Restaurant Group (TRG) 2014 has announced its full year trading outturn. For the 52 weeks ending 28 December, total turnover was up 9.6% on the prior year, and like-for-like sales increased by 2.8%.
