Whisk + slice bakes
So, you find yourself at home isolated from family and friends, exempt from many of the social interactions that were part of your daily life. Exercising more, learning how to communicate through technology, sometimes passing time more than enjoying it.
You might consider resurrecting a hobby, and we are glad to report that is exactly what Sofia did and by doing so created Whisk + slice.
We use the term ‘glad to report’ as we recently ordered some ‘letterbox bakes’ from Whisk + slice and after their arrival were grateful we did.
Whisk + slice was created after Sofia started baking cakes during lockdown, she then began posting them to friends and family. The reaction was favourable, and Sofia then set up a website to enable more people to receive ‘a box of happiness through their door’.
A box of happiness arrived through our letterbox today and was enjoyed immensely when we stopped for a coffee earlier. Raspberry + White Chocolate Blondies and Caramel Shortbread were the options, both were a perfect accompaniment to coffee.
The Raspberry + White Chocolate Blondie bake was my favourite, moist and full of flavour without being too sweet. The Caramel Shortbread won the team vote by a fine margin as both were scrumptious.
The packaging and branding is nearly as nice as the bakes too, adding to the overall letterbox experience from Whisk + slice.
If you enjoy a bake with your coffee, treat yourself soon to a box of happiness from Whisk + slice.
