As universities and hotels are still emerging from the current Covid-19 pandemic we are delighted to announce that the new Courtyard by Marriott hotel at Keele University is preparing to open in the coming months.

Part of the preparation is the appointment of Scott Randall as General Manager of the new Courtyard by Marriott hotel at Keele University.

Randall joins from Holiday Inn Derby Nottingham, part of the Kew Green Hotels portfolio, and will be responsible for establishing a 60-strong team ahead of the hotel opening. The new hotel will include 150 rooms, a restaurant and bar, meeting rooms, and fitness suite.

Speaking on his appointment, Randall said: “My career in hospitality spans 30 years working for Concorde Hotels, Crowne Plaza, Holiday Inn and more including project managing three new hotel openings in Shrewsbury, Birmingham and Doncaster for the Real Hotel Company.

“This opportunity to join the Tower Hotel Management team and to be a part of this new and modern Courtyard by Marriott hotel is really exciting and I look forward to welcoming our new recruits as soon as we can.”

Developed by Keele Hotel Developments, a joint venture between Marick Real Estate Ltd and Mill Lane Estates Ltd, the high-profile site will be operated by Tower Hotel Management under a franchise agreement with Marriott International.

The hotel is being built by one of the largest and most successful privately owned construction and development groups in the UK, Bowmer + Kirkland.
