Only minutes ago Prime Minister Boris Johnson in an address to MP’s in Parliament confirmed that England on 4th July will reduce social distancing from 2m to 1m.
Sir Kier Starmer responded to the Prime Minister giving broad support for the reduction but did question him on the scientific information behind the decision. He also questioned if the Government have a strategy to combat any local outbreaks of Covid-19.
On testing track and trace, the leader of the opposition asked for more clarity and closed welcoming the thrust of the Government’s direction of travel in opening up the economy.
