The Belfry reopening announced – The Belfry has announced that two of its golf courses are reopening on Monday 1st June 2020.
The resort will reopen both its award-winning Brabazon, and PGA National courses.
Both are recognised as world-class, having hosted The Ryder Cup four times – more than any other venue in the world – and two European Tour events, producing some of the most dramatic moments in the history of golf.
James Macbeth Stewart, Resort Director, told us of reopening saying: “We’ve received a great response from golfers and our members who can’t wait to get back on the course and we are very thankful for their support. It feels fantastic to be able to welcome them back.
“The safety and wellbeing of our guests and team are our top priority, and we’ve taken the time to ensure we have enhanced safety measures in place.
“The remainder of the resort will be closed until further notice to comply with Government guidance and social distancing measures. When we do reopen the whole resort, we will donate our green fee income from our opening day to a number of charities locally and across the UK.
We were delighted to learn of this generosity back in April, when the H&C News Golf Day’s nominated charity, The Clink, were included. Much to the acclaim of the hospitality industry names taking part.
