Front line NHS workers in Edinburgh have received 1,000 nights of free rooms, meals and warm hospitality at the city’s largest independent hotel Ten Hill Place. Ten Hill Place is owned by The Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh and opened its doors to the city’s hospital staff on Friday 27 March. Since then it has provided hospitality for over 200 key workers.
The hotel is conveniently located less than a mile from the Royal Hospital for Sick Children and just three miles from the Royal Infirmary of Edinburgh.
Speaking with Herald Scotland Scott Mitchell, Managing Director at Surgeons Quarter, said: “The response to our decision to accommodate medical and clinical workers has been astounding, and we want to encourage more staff who are working at the city’s hospitals to get in touch with us to find out how we can help support them.
“It’s a privilege to play our part in helping make the lives of medical workers a little easier during one of the most difficult times the country has faced.”
The efforts of Ten Hill Place are certainly not being lost of the NHS workers staying at the hotel, who are using social media to applaud and thank the team at Ten Hill Place for their generous hospitality. We would like to join that applause and also say well done and thank you, this is news we are proud to cover.
