Kew Green Hotels are part of the hotel industry response to support key workers and the NHS throughout the Covid-19 pandemic. Over 20 of properties remain partially open to support the national effort to stop the spread of Covid-19 and to offer shelter to key workers, the NHS, emergency services and the distribution sector.
Teams are working to ensure the safety of our guests and employees remains our number one priority. In recent weeks the business has adapted to the changing landscape of hospitality, including contactless check-in and check-out with protective screens; contactless food service; grab and go breakfast; social distancing and enhanced cleaning procedures.
None of the Kew Green Hotel team members are under any obligation to work at the open hotels through launching the Kew Green Hotels Covid-19 volunteer scheme. Following the launch of this scheme the hotel group received more than 500 applications 48 hours.
Ros Hardiman, Director of Human Resources, Kew Green Hotels told us: “We are passionate about delivering a positive experience for all of our colleagues throughout this difficult time, irrespective of whether they are at home or at work. At Kew Green we understand the impact our actions will have in the long term with our employees and we believe the way we treat our people during this time of crisis will determine their level of engagement long after the crisis has passed.”
