Ken Flockhart has been appointed as the new GM of the Down Hall Hotel, we are delighted to report that Flockhart’s first job is to plan for the hotel reopening post the COVID-19 crisis.
Flockhart has more than 30 years of experience in the hospitality sector, at luxury hotels and resorts around the world.
In his former position as General Manager at Warner Cricket St. Thomas Hotel, one of the largest country house hotels in the UK, Flockhart was responsible for the historic house’s 239 rooms, two restaurants and bars, a 500-seat entertainment venue, leisure club and 160 acres of hotel grounds, all set within the 1,000 acre Somerset estate.
With extensive international experience, previous roles have taken him to the Bahamas, Antigua, Grenada, Qatar and Spain – where he worked as Resort Director at La Cala, one of the most expansive golf, hotel and real estate communities in Europe as well as The Maldives – where he was General Manager at Kuredu Island Resort & Spa, overseeing 770 staff.
