Chelsea hospitality to NHS extended further. West London’s Chelsea Football Club are further extending their already considerable hospitality to NHS workers. Chelsea has opened a second hotel to NHS staff as they continue to aid London’s fight against Covid-19.
Chelsea Football Club in West London has numerous hospitals nearby its Stamford Bridge home.
All hospitals in the vicinity of Stamford Bridge will be doing their utmost to cope with combating Covid-19. So the help from their local football club will be a valuable lifeline.
Two Hotels Free to NHS
As occupancy and use of the Millennium Hotel has now reached full capacity, the 160 room Copthorne Hotel opens.
Like the first, the second hotel is available free of charge to any frontline workers in need of accommodation.
78,000 Meals Free to NHS
The decision follows Chelsea FC committing to provide 78,000 meals for health and social care workers over an initial six week period.
Chelsea are paying to enable 13,000 meals a week to be sent to the five hospitals under the Imperial College Healthcare NHS Trust.
