Campari Group, one of the major global players in alcoholic drinks, and leading cosmetics company Intercos Group, have collaborated in Italy to produce hydro-alcoholic gel hand cleaners. The gel will be delivered to Lombardy healthcare workers who are at the forefront of the fight against the COVID-19 pandemic.
The alcohol donated by Campari Group has been transformed and bottled by Intercos Group with the first production creating fifteen thousand bottles of hand sanitiser.
“Aware of sanitising gel shortage in hospitals and in all sanitary facilities, we have decided to donate an amount of pure alcohol, originally intended for our production lines, as it is the essential raw material for this type of sanitising liquid – said Bob Kunze- Concewitz, CEO of Campari Group.
Renato Semerari, Intercos Group CEO said: “We are glad to bring our support to the hospitals of Lombardy in this period of health emergency.”
Campari Group and Intercos will also handle the logistics of the finished product, in order to deliver the gel sanitisers where most urgently needed.
Well done both Campari and Intercos.
On the subject of Campari, if you’ve never seen one of the most acclaimed advertising campaigns ever, you might find this produced in the 1070’s mildly amusing.
