A big part of the annual H&C News Charity Golf Day is socialising with peers from across the industry, where you naturally meet new people in an environment that is both business and pleasure. Everyone is there to have a good day, hopefully have a good round of golf, and raise the profile of and money for The Clink Charity. In 2019 we raised over £2,200 for The Clink Charity.
We have had a few conversations recently where golfers who like to socialise can’t rustle up a team of four and thought that would exclude them from being able to take part.
We must confess that we never thought of this before, doh, and only offered teams of four. Rounding up a team from H&C News to play golf at The Belfry had never been a problem, quite the opposite, so we completely overlooked it. Sample groups of one are rarely a good idea.
So, we have now started to take individual bookings and welcome others to come and join the day -individually, in teams of four, or with two or three players. We’ll then build teams of four on the day mixed with peers from across hospitality and catering.
