The Leytonstone Tavern has been granted a late license Fridays and Saturdays. Now able to open until 1.30am, combined with the introduction of a new Head Chef and catering menus, the pub is able to meet local demand and fulfil its event offering.
New Head Chef, Jamie Teak, bought on at the start of the year, is upping the ante on the weekly menu and bringing his expertise to the party planning. Jamie brings over 20 years global experience across restaurants, hotels and pubs.
The new menu, launching Wednesday evening, sees the introduction of Small Plates and tasty vegan dishes, alongside some of the pub classics – made just a little bit more special.
All based on fresh, seasonal ingredients from quality suppliers and with everything continued being made on site daily. As for Sundays, Jamie’s roast won several awards for Bath and Bristol, far surpassing the average pub Sunday lunch.
Owner Ronnie Finch told us: “With Jamie on board, this not only means we can service large external functions, but combined with our late license, means we can now realise our vision for in-pub events. We’ve seen the demand from the community and have held some great celebrations so far, but with Jamie’s catering expertise, we can take this to the next level. We’re really excited by what we can now do – no other pub in Leytonstone can deliver on both the space and the quality catering together. We’re spoilt here, with two rooms, the garden and private cabin.”
