The Idle Rocks in St Mawes re-opening February 2020

The Idle Rocks in St Mawes will re-open for 2020 later this year in February with a new Head Chef, Dorian Janmaat. Janmaat will return to his home county of Cornwall following eight years at Raymond Blanc’s two-star restaurant, Le Manoir aux Quat ‘Saisons.

Janmaat is bringing a host of new exciting dishes to the restaurant, which champions the freshest local ingredients and produce.

The Idle Rocks in St Mawes is a Relais & Chateaux property located on the harbour-front of the picturesque, cobble-stoned fishing port in St Mawes. An idyllic getaway the rugged coasts of Cornwall are synonymous with surfing, pasties and Poldark as well as lesser known walks and gardens such as the Lost Gardens of Heligan.

The Idle Rocks will re-open with three new packages have been designed to welcome guests to experience a staycation in picturesque southern Cornwall and sample the flavours from Chef Dorian’s newly created à la carte menu
