Majella O’Connell aka Pavlova & Cream set out recently with her camera to capture her next Image of the Month for the latest installment of her feature we just love publishing. Her destination was Daniel Clifford’s Midsummer House in Cambridge which holds two Michelin stars & five AA Rosettes.
Midsummer House not only holds two Michelin stars & five AA Rosettes, it has seen many chefs pass through their kitchen progressing to gain their own Michelin stars, including Mark Poynton, Tim Allen, Matt Gillan, and Lawrence Yates. Majella on her second visit knew her camera would be busy and knew selecting ‘the’ Image of the Month would be hard as the choice of shots was mouth-watering.
Majella when selecting this week’s image told us that it was Daniel Clifford who many years ago first inspired her to develop her career in food photography. After meeting Daniel at a Chef event Majella was invited to Midsummer House by him to shoot some of his dishes, and has never looked back.
The choice was as hard as envisaged, but we ultimately settled on ‘Seared Sea Scallop, Granny Smith Apple with Celeriac & Truffle Purée. Simply stunning…
