RIVER Bar in Washington has benefitted from a makeover following a £250,000 investment from owners Cairn Group.
New-look décor has created a contemporary feel from floor to ceiling. Rustic wooden panels, patterned wallpaper and bare brick adorn the walls, complemented by statement lighting. Plus, cushioned booths and high tables with leather chairs have been fitted throughout increasing seating space.
Passionate about cocktails, the menu is shaken up each season as the bar’s mixologists select fresh flavours to showcase, from the classics to bespoke mixes inspired by popular confectionary. Food is also served daily and a new menu celebrating Southern American flavours will be revealed later in the New Year.
Sports fans are catered for too, and can sit down to enjoy viewing major sporting events on the five high quality Ultra HD screens. Private hire is also available with packages for parties of all sizes whatever the occasion.
Naveen Handa, director at Cairn Group, said: “River Bar has been given a whole new look, carefully designed to encompass the bar’s extensive offering. From spacious booth seating ideal for sitting down to a midweek treat meal, to a weekend night out with friends and one of our cocktail tree centrepieces, it’s a venue for all occasions.
“In 2019 we look forward to turning our attention to our second venue in Washington Fiume, which we have big plans for.”
