Situated on the cusp of London’s leafy suburb, South Woodford, and bordering Essex in Woodford Green, The Gallery is the new culinary addition to the area, with an anticipated launch.
The new 100 cover restaurant will be situated on South Woodford High Road, the former LDN Grill, and will open six days a week, serving lunch and dinner until late.
The Gallery’s two-storey restaurant will boast an open kitchen complete with a chef’s table for four, a ground floor cocktail & wine bar and an opulent dinner space at the rear of the venue. For some privacy or special events, guests will have the option of booking a table for 16 in the restaurant’s Private Dining Room, complete with dedicated waiting and bar staff.
The Gallery, a family run restaurant, sits across two floors – by night, the ground floor restaurant will welcome visitors who want to dine in a luxuriously opulent setting, complete with dark velvet interiors, dim lighting and walls of unique paintings, which lends the venue its name. By day, the area will serve a lunch menu, in a bright and sociable setting, welcoming local walk-ins and diners from afar to enjoy a special lunch, escaping the stresses of their daily routine.
The ground floor also boasts a self-playing, black polished, Grand piano in its own dedicated lounge area and will provide entertainment with songs throughout the ages from a variety of genres, as guests select and taste from the extensive cocktail menu, with serves created by the restaurant’s expert bartender and a selection of wines that have been specially hand-picked for The Gallery, by a team of wine experts and sommeliers.
The first floor brings lively entertainment to the venue, where visitors can let their hair down and dance to the tunes being played by the resident DJ or guest DJs, and the diners can use the area for pre or post meal fun, an aperitif or nightcap. The floor has its own bar and will serve a plethora of great tasting beverages.
Upon entrance to the restaurant, guests will find themselves snapping selfies for their social media against the perfectly extravagant, gold sequin wall.
The Gallery food menu has been curated by Head Chef, Dave Rann, who has been trained by acclaimed chefs Gordon Ramsay and Gary Rhodes, he worked in a host of Michelin starred restaurants and was former Head chef at Rhubarb, one of the UK’s leading hospitality groups.
The menu will comprise of modern British and grilled foods, from a selection of succulent steaks, fresh water seafood and a variety of tastes to suit our vegan and vegetarian diners.
Dave said: “After months of planning for the opening, I can’t wait to welcome guests to The Gallery, for the chance to sample some of my favourite dishes and the moreish wines and cocktails available from our two bars. Every effort has been made to make sure our guests enjoy a sophisticated and fun experience, with great food, expertly crafted cocktails and an enviable wine list. We’re looking forward to bringing the glamour back to the area with our unique offering.”
The Gallery will officially open its doors on Tuesday 27th November 2018.
