The New Inn Graces Chapel-En-Le-Frith with a brand-new look

By James Russell: The New Inn Graces Chapel-En-Le-Frith with a brand-new look

November 11, 2018

The New Inn pub, situated in Chapel-En-Le-Frith, has whisked up a striking new look following a substantial investment of over £100k from licensee Nicola Bremner and Stockport based brewers, Robinsons Brewery.

The 4-week refurbishment was carried out internally and externally, to bring a new lease of life back to the popular country pub.

The New Inn sits close to Lyme Park, a large estate located south of Disley, Cheshire. The estate is managed by the National Trust and consists of a mansion house surrounded by formal gardens, in a deer park in the Peak District National Park – to which the New Inn has decorated its walls accordingly with country artwork of birds and deer.

Externally, the stone-built pub has been decorated with new signage in line with Robinsons corporate branding, new planting and a smoking shelter.

Nicola Bremner, licensee at the New Inn, said: “I’m absolutely amazed by the transformation, the New Inn now feels like a real pub again and it’s a real pleasure to open the doors each day and see the great reaction of the customers. Trade has been outstanding since the reopening and I feel so proud to welcome everybody into my pub.”

Utilising a rich colour palette with tones of blues and cranberry, the pub offers a warm country feel adorned with floral patterns throughout. The pub’s original herringbone parquet flooring has been stripped back and refinished, complementing the rest of the pub and retaining its original charm.

The pub now boasts a new back bar fitting and bar top, together with a redesigned layout to create a more spacious bar area and dining room. New furniture and fixed brown leather seating along with new chairs, blanketed in feature paisley fabrics, means everyone can enjoy the best seat in the house. Atmospheric lighting, such as feature pendants and antique brass wall lights, illuminate the gleaming new look and create the perfect mood for socialising and meeting new people.
