An award-winning brewer that makes beer inspired by music is creating new jobs and expanding with the launch of its debut Taproom. London-based Signature Brew has used an invoice finance facility to support cashflow and develop plans for the business, which incorporates three brewing units and the newly opened Signature Brew Taproom & Venue.
Located under the railway arches next to the Regent’s Canal in Haggerston, East London, the venue provides a place where fresh beer and great music can be enjoyed together. The venue serves a range of Signature Brew beers and offers regular live music events. Since opening its doors in September, it has created seven new jobs, which brings the total number of employees across the company to 21.
Founded in 2011 by Tom Bott and Sam McGregor, Signature Brew creates award-winning beers that have a distinct nod to the music industry and has brewed collaboration beers with for musicians such as Frank Tuner and Alt-J. Starting with just one brewing unit, the business now has three units at its Leyton-base and has turnover of £1.3million for 2018. Signature Brew was named Brewery Business of the Year 2018 by the Society of Independent Brewers (SIBA).
