Kitchen Porters keep the kitchens running in every hospitality and catering kitchen, as such a club was formed in February 2017 to recognise their hard work and contribution to our industry. The Kitchen Porters Club.
The Kitchen Porters Club was originally created through a twitter page by H&C News, who now operate the twitter page on behalf of MEIKO UK, specialists in warewashing and food waste handling solutions.
When Meiko UK and H&C News started working together the key objective was to extend recognition across the industry of the importance of KP’s. So, we decided to ask people and businesses across our industry to recognise their KP’s. All that was needed was to say who their #KPHERO is on twitter. The #KPHERO on the tweet with the most engagement would then be sent a bottle of champagne in recognition of their contribution to their kitchen.
We are glad to report that the nominations sang hearty praise for KP’s and some of those received as well as the winner are featured below.

The winner came from Andrew Merrett, Communications and Marketing Director, CH&CO Group and his nominated KP was Ricardo Vieira. KP Robert Viera will be sent a bottle of Champagne this week, congratulations Robert and thank you Andrew.
