New General Manager for Amba Hotel Charing Cross

By James Russell: New General Manager for Amba Hotel Charing Cross

August 16, 2018

Pedro Da Silva,General Manager of Amba Hotel Charing Cross

Pedro Da Silva, the former General Manager of Holiday Inn London – Brentford Lock, has joined glh Hotels to take over the running of Amba Hotel Charing Cross.

Attracted by the brand’s brilliant reputation and the inspiring central London location, Pedro has joined glh Hotels with a variety of hospitality experience across three continents ranging from Rooms Division, F&B and Revenue Management – and was also awarded General Manager of the year in 2016 by former employer, RBH Hospitality Management.

After being headhunted to work in the USA by Marriott International, Pedro has learned a bold management style. Throughout his career he has continuously led the charge on innovative hospitality projects, such as leading the first two open lobby concepts in Europe at Holiday Inn for IHG.

Not afraid of change, and totally focused on improving the customer experience, Pedro has already created, and filled, a brand new Guest Relations Manager role at Amba Hotel Charing Cross. The position will look to offer guests a new level of surprise and delight during their stay and focus on the little details that make a big difference.

With nine meeting and event spaces available at the hotel, Pedro will also turn his attention to the M&E offering, harnessing the rich history and background of the hotel to sell its unique event spaces.

Pedro said, “I’m excited to be able to put my ideas into practice and really celebrate Amba Hotel Charing Cross – the team, product and location are brilliant, so in my eyes it can only get better! Amba is such an inspiring brand and there is real scope to push the boundaries when it comes to the way we interact and look after our guests.”
