Robinson Brewery’s Fletchers Arms situated on Stockport Road, Denton, will be temporarily closed for a few days, while the pub receives a stunning refurbishment. The Almond family, who run the Fletchers Arms as well as five other pubs in the Stockport area, are investing £90,000 in to the longest-standing pub in their estate.
The majority of the work will be cosmetic and will involve brightening up the pub with fresh décor and new furniture, giving the pub a more updated look.
Widely regarded as ‘the best pub in Denton’, the Almond family are keen to keep it that way. Vicki Almond, Company Director, said: “In our industry we see so many pubs that have beautiful refurbishments but, over time, this fades due to a lack of investment. We believe it is important for the community and, of course, for our business to reinvest to keep on top of the trends and continue to run pubs we can be proud of. While it’s not desperate for the work, it is important that we stay one step ahead to keep our loyal customers happy.”
Vicki continued: “We’ve been a staple in Denton for nearly 16 years and within this time we have seen numerous developments and updates to our menu, décor and service style. We have recently updated the menu to include more exciting dishes and these have been working really well for us, so our customers needn’t worry about changes here! I have a soft spot for the Fletchers as I ran it for 8 years, so I will be working alongside our new manager, Steve, on some exciting kitchen and front of house training to make sure the sparkle we add to the décor extends to everywhere in the pub. We are really happy with the designs and we can’t wait to get stuck in making them a reality. The Fletchers you know and love will be back open in no time!”
