Borough Wines & Beers is marking the first anniversary of its Turnham Green (W4) shop with a weekend of free cocktails, from Friday 17 August – Sunday 19 August 2018, 12pm until close each day.
Visitors to the shop on Turnham Green Terrace over the birthday weekend will be offered a glass of ‘Chiswick Twist’ on the house. Created with a little help from W4 neighbours Sipsmith, the cocktail combines the West London distillery’s flagship London Dry Gin, with the citrus notes and fiery ginger spice of Pococello and Pimento.
Opened in August 2017, the shop is one of eight Borough Wines sites in the capital and sells the merchant’s popular eco-friendly wine bottle refills, alongside an array of carefully-sourced wines, craft beers and small-batch spirits.
The premises has a drink in area, where customers can enjoy wine and cocktails from a changing by-the-glass menu, as well as bottles of beer and wine from the shelves (with a small corkage fee). A downstairs tasting room is also available for larger groups and private events, when it is not being used for one of the shop’s regular ticketed tastings.
