Mark Gallagher has been appointed general manager at the Crowne Plaza Glasgow, a 283-bedroom hotel operated by Valor Hospitality Europe.
Mark brings almost 25 years of experience in the hospitality sector to the position, previously managing hotels in both Glasgow and London as well as working in a central operations role.
As the former head of the Glasgow Hotelier’s Association, he is a prominent industry figure in the region, having also been part of Team Glasgow’s successful bid for the 2014 Commonwealth Games.
Mark will be responsible for overseeing the commercial success of the Crowne Plaza Glasgow, using his network and knowledge to ensure it remains a top choice for business travellers and visitors to the SEC campus, which the hotel is a part of.
Crowne Plaza Glasgow offers conference space for up to 800 people, as well as on-site spa and fitness facilities. The hotel benefits from its connections to the city centre and Glasgow Airport.
