May 20, 2018

Leathes Head Hotel has launched a delightful new afternoon tea just in time to enjoy the spring afternoons in the tranquil setting of the Borrowdale Valley. The 2 AA Rosette restaurant is delighted to welcome on board Sous Chef Stuart Wake who is passionate about creating delicious food that delights. Originally from Newcastle he has worked in some great establishments including the Park Tavern London and Manchester House.

Afternoon tea is a great British tradition and a timeless treat. Celebrate a special occasion or catch up with family and friends, whilst you relax in one of the comfortable lounges, the terrace or Conservatory restaurant at Leathes Head. The stunning views of the valley combined with a traditional afternoon tea makes for a wonderful day out.

Indulge in delicious homemade cakes, pastries and freshly baked scones served with cream and preserve. All served with a selection of classic finger sandwiches and a selection of tea blends and infusions. The afternoon tea menu is served between 12.30pm and 4.30pm.

Why not make a whole day of it and go for a gentle walk in the Borrowdale Valley or explore the nearby market town of Keswick.

Laura Dadulak General Manager at The Leathes Head Hotel says:

“We delight in making memorable experiences for everyone who eats at The Leathes Head and enjoy welcoming visitors in to relax, unwind and enjoy the beautiful views of the surrounding valley. Myself and the team are really excited to be working with Stuart who will bring his own unique style to the kitchen, and help take our menu to the next level.”

Leathes Head has created a mouth-watering menu available to both staying guests, and non-residents looking to indulge themselves in the finest of flavours and unique tastes around.

Stuart Wake Sous Chef at the Leathes Head Hotel says:

“I am delighted to join the team at The Leathes Head Hotel and I am looking forward to working with Noel Breaks to create dishes using Cumbria’s finest ingredients and build upon the restaurants existing reputation for delivering fantastic food served in an idyllic location in the heart of Borrowdale Valley.”
