Boxpark has agreed terms for over 75% of units in Wembley, as appetite for the site continues to grow. Sign-ups include Wingstop, Shake Shack, Ugly Dumpling, Poptata and The Athenian.
Since announcing its opening in late 2017, Boxpark has received unprecendented demand for units and is running a three-month wait list for new vendor applications as businesses show overwhelming enthusiasm to trade at the brand new food and culture outlet.
Opening later this year, Boxpark Wembley is set to be the largest venue to date from the pop up mall pioneers. Positioned at the heart of Wembley Park, an area which is being transformed into one of London’s most exciting neighbourhoods, the 24 unit venue will feature a variety of independent food and beverage vendors, with CWM acting for Boxpark to secure these, alongside 20,000 sq ft dedicated event space, with up to 2,000 capacity venue which will be used year-round.
Boxpark Wembley will be the first fully indoor Boxpark ensuring year round appeal for residents and visitors alike. Building on the area’s reputation for live entertainment, the events and culture destination will host and curate events for up to 2,000 guests, working alongside local artists as well as established acts from across the country. This will further expand the growing offer at Wembley Park – cementing it further as an area bustling with new culture, restaurants and events.
Located a stone’s throw from the world famous Wembley Stadium and SSE Arena, Wembley, the newest site from pop up mall masters, Boxpark, in partnership with developers Quintain, is set to create a new creative district for the capital. In addition to visitors drawn to Boxpark, the wider Wembley Park community is set to expand rapidly over the next few years with the arrival of 7,500 new homes, 500,000 sq ft of retail and leisure space alongside 630,000 sq ft of Grade A office space, as more businesses look to make the move to North London.
Roger Wade, Founder and CEO of Boxpark, said: “I’m delighted to announce the new vendors coming to Boxpark Wembley. There’s a real mix of food offerings that we think both locals and visitors will enjoy – we’re excited to have them as part of the Boxpark family!”
Boxpark Wembley unit sizes will range from 500 sq.ft to 1,800 sq.ft, Boxpark is set to announce further tenants in the coming months.
This announcement follows the news that Boxpark Wembley received planning permission in February from Brent Councill to build the biggest Boxpark to date. Brent, which in February 2018 was awarded The London Borough of Culture 2020 by the GLA, will see the arrival of Boxpark Wembley in later 2018.
