Two leading cancer charities – The Royal Marsden Cancer Charity and Macmillan Cancer Support – are set to benefit from a partnership with the Arora Group which will see them receive a contribution from each guest bill across all of the group’s hotels.
According to Macmillan, nearly 1 in 2 people will be diagnosed with cancer in their lifetime. This initiative by the Arora Group, which will be rolled out across the group’s eight hotels, will support the life-changing work of these two charities.
Arora guests will be asked to donate £1 through their hotel bill. All donations will be divided equally between the two charities and, with 4,000 hotel rooms across the group, this initiative will enable the two organisations to continue to fund the best possible treatment and care for cancer patients in the UK, as well as research that will benefit patients around the world.
Paul Glazier, of Macmillan Cancer Support, said: “There are now 2.5 million people in the UK living with cancer, and sadly, this figure is rising every day. At Macmillan, we provide emotional, physical, medical and financial help for those who need it, when they need it most. It’s thanks to the support of companies like the Arora Group and its guests that we’re able to continue doing this, so thank you.”

This initiative will allow The Royal Marsden Cancer Charity to continue funding state-of-the-art equipment, groundbreaking research, leading treatment and care, and the development of the very best patient environments at The Royal Marsden.”
