It’s a chocoholic’s dream – a life size Easter Egg made of pure Belgian chocolate !
But for visitors to Liverpool’s Shankly Hotel this weekend they will get a chance to not only see Liverpool’s biggest chocolate Easter Egg but also have a chance to win the life size chocolate treat !
The confectionary masterpiece, made with the finest of Belgian chocolate, stands at just over one metre in height and weighs in at a whopping 30kg. It has been designed by Signature Living’s new pastry and dessert chef, Andrew Dale, who marked the start of his new role at the hotel group with the giant Easter treat.
The former Marks and Spencer Director of Food Development started with the company this week and has been tasked with creating mouthwatering desserts, chocolate and pastry based dishes for restaurants at the Shankly Hotel, 30 James Street and Alma De Cuba in Liverpool.
Visitors to the Shankly Hotel over the Easter weekend have the chance to win the egg by guessing what’s inside it and posting their answers to Facebook tagging in Signature Living. The competition is also open to members of the public.
Signature Living’s MD Kris Mochrie, said:
“Andrew’s giant chocolate Easter egg has really got everyone talking so much so we’ve decided to give it away to the person who can guess what’s inside. It’s a chocoholics dream and will be available to see all weekend at the Shankly Hotel. Guests staying and dining with us can take part in the competition but we’re also inviting members of the public to let us know what they think is hidden inside by tagging our Facebook page. We will smash the egg open on Tuesday 3rd April to reveal whats hidden inside the egg and announce the winner.”
