Broadway Market Tooting is extending next month to include a new micro-food hall, The Cave. With 4 restaurants and a new bar, The Cave will be housed in the strip behind popular sushi restaurant HiKi and Spanish wine shop and taps bar The Tapas Room.
Open since 1936, Broadway Market is an established hub at the heart of Tooting’s community. In the last year it has become a SW London hotspot with the addition of restaurants such as Plot, Ulam, Sea Garden, Borderlaise and Tacos + Tequila as well as bars Hillstation cocktail bar, Henny’s organic wine bar and Tiki Tail amongst others.
The Cave is owned by Michael Manalo, a seasoned restauranteur having worked in leading restaurants such as Benihana, Roka and Head Chef at Google’s UK HQ to name a few. He opened sushi restaurant HiKi in 2016 and satay bar Ulam in 2017, both also in Broadway Market Tooting.
“Tooting is fast becoming a foodie hub and it’s exciting to be playing a central role in that. SW London is known for great market spaces, just look at how Brixton has developed – Broadway Market Tooting is becoming just as popular with the local community and beyond,” comments Michael.
