Hotel guests and local residents in Cumbria are being reminded of the chance to participate in a boot themed photographic competition to raise awareness of Lake District activities.
The Waterhead Boutique Hotel & Dining in Ambleside is asking its guests, visitors, suppliers and local people to take quirky snaps to see who can produce the most imaginative shots featuring different types of boots.
The hotel, run by English Lakes Hotels Resorts & Venues, is running a ‘Bootique’ campaign focusing activity on hospitality, food and drink, as well as hill walking, outdoor adventures, lakeside activities, local arts and retail.
The photo competition runs until the end of March 2018 via the hotel group’s social media pages on Twitter, Facebook and Instagram with the hashtag #Bootique
Waterhead Boutique Hotel & Dining manager Anthony Sutcliffe says: “We’ve had lots of entries so far and many of those who have sent in their snaps have been incredibly creative with their boots. Photos can be taken in any setting or landmark across Cumbria, and they must feature a boot or boots.”
The top three photos will be selected by a panel of judges, with the overall winner treated to a one night VIP dinner, bed and breakfast stay for two at Waterhead. The winner will also have their photo framed and displayed in the hotel. The two runners up will each receive £50 of English Lakes Hotels Resorts & Venues vouchers.
Waterhead Boutique Hotel & Dining in Ambleside is Lakeland’s only four-star contemporary town house hotel, combining the beautiful scenery of the new World Heritage Site with a luxury hotel stay.
