A Wakefield hotel is set to unveil its new-look facilities following a strong trading period.
The Campanile Hotel on Monckton Road Industrial Estate is inviting businesses to its Morning Mingle networking event on Friday, March 16 at 9.30am, where the hotel’s new space will be officially unveiled.
The hotel’s restaurant has been styled as a Mediterranean theme while a new meeting room for six people has been opened to complement the existing conference room to cater for demand for meeting space from neighbouring businesses.
The refurbishment comes off the back of one of the strongest starts to a year for Campanile Wakefield, which has seen its occupancy rate soar by 64 per cent year-on-year on average for January and February.
Gillian Douglas, general manager at the 77-bedroom Campanile Wakefield, said: “This refurbishment sets us up perfectly to continue on our journey of growth.
“We’ve experienced a massive uptake in bedroom bookings thanks to recent positive reviews about our team’s friendly and helpful service – they really are the jewel in the hotel’s crown and are the reason people keep coming back to us.
“However, we want to be able to take the hotel’s growth a step further by capitalising on the meetings market as well.
“We sit in the heart of an industrial estate that is home to at least 100 businesses, and after receiving a number of enquiries for meetings spaces, we have decided to act and respond to this demand.
“Our facilities now reflect the variety of trade that comes through our doors – private work spaces for our corporate guests in the week and a refurbished bar and restaurant for our leisure guests at the weekend.
“We host our Morning Mingles every month, and because of our location, this is a great opportunity for businesses to come together and possibly drum up new business.”
The Morning Mingle is free and open to all, and will be held between 9.30am and 11am on Thursday, March 16.
