UCC Europe is proud to launch a new short film showcasing the emotional journey of coffee farmer, Richard Cardozo, as he experiences for the first time how the beans he grows in Peru become the coffee enjoyed by people on the other side of the world.
The film takes Richard, who’s dedicated his life to growing coffee beans, from his life in northern Peru to the heart of Spain.
We witness the dedication involved in making sure the hard work on the farms for the best quality coffee beans is transformed into the best quality coffee served to customers. We now see the connection between the farmer directly with the customer in the coffee shop, rather than the farmer and the buyer from a large corporation.
‘From Coffee Crop to Coffee Shop’ gives a rare insight, through Richard’s own eyes, into the final stages of the coffee-curating process, and includes Richard being partly trained as a barista allowing him to serve his own coffee direct to customers thousands of miles from his home town.
