Leonardo Hotels, one of the leading hotel operators in Europe and Israel, has strengthened and restructured its management team in the UK following its takeover of the Jurys Inn Group.
Daniel Roger, the Managing Director of Leonardo Hotels Europe, has been appointed as the new Managing Director of Fattal Hotels Europe – including the Group’s expanded UK portfolio.
In December 2017, Fattal completed the acquisition of 36 Jurys Inn hotels. These hotels are joining Fattal’s existing Leonardo Royal Hotel Edinburgh, Leonardo Hotel London Heathrow Airport, and the five hotels acquired from the Portland Hotels Group in Scotland.
Jurys Inn will continue to be managed by the current managing director, Jason Carruthers and the Jurys Inn management team.
The takeover of Jurys Inn has added approximately 8,000 rooms and 300 meeting rooms to its portfolio, the Leonardo Group wants to open up 10 hotels in several European countries in 2018; and a further eight hotels in 2019.

Daniel Roger joined the Fattal Group in 2006, heading Leonardo Hotels in Europe since then.
The European Division of the Group grew from one hotel in Germany, in 2006, to more than 130 hotels in over 75 cities and all under his leadership.
As Managing Director, of Fattal Hotels Europe and UK, he will particularly focus on integrating the Jurys Inn Hotels into the Leonardo Group.
Roger has more than 40 years of professional experience within international hotel chains. He holds degrees in hotel management from the former hotel management school of D. Speiser, at the Tegernsee in Germany, and from the hotel management school in Leysin, Switzerland.
At the same time, Leonardo Hotels has announced that Yoram Biton has taken over the position of the Managing Director of Central Europe.
Yoram Biton has worked for Leonardo Hotels in various management positions since 2006. He first headed up the management team at Leonardo Hotel Munich City Centre and the Leonardo Boutique Hotel Munich and was responsible for two openings in Frankfurt. In 2013, he was given responsibility for all Group Hotels in Munich and Nuremberg, Germany, and Zürich, Switzerland. Last year he was responsible for the takeover and integration of five Portland Hotels in Edinburgh (two), Glasgow, Aberdeen and Perth.
