The new Valsana Hotel, which opens its doors for the first time next week, will be the first hotel in Switzerland to be heated by geothermal probes and an ultra-modern ice battery.
Built to the highest environmental and energy standards, Valsana is spread across three new buildings with 40 spacious double rooms and suites, nine serviced apartments and open plan public areas.
Set beside the lake, the hotel’s restaurant Twist has beautiful views and al fresco dining on the sun terrace. Sustainability and the informal approach is also reflected in the dining concept with a focus on local suppliers and seasonal produce, healthy ‘bowl food’ style cuisine and a wine dispenser with Swiss wines.
Located in the charming Swiss alpine village of Arosa, Valsana Hotel is just steps from the main cable car at an altitude of 1800 metres and has easy ski in access. Alongside the 225km of slopes, other winter activities include snowshoe hiking, Nordic walking and 4.5 kilometres of winter sledge runs.
Open in both winter and summer, the hotel has two indoor tennis courts, a high-tech fitness studio, extensive spa facilities and a bike and ski shop.
