Store Street venue open for business at DoubleTree by Hilton Manchester

By James Russell: Store Street venue open for business at DoubleTree by Hilton Manchester

November 7, 2017

Store Street Exchange and Store Street Craft Bar, a new restaurant and bar venue, has opened at the DoubleTree by Hilton Manchester.

The brand-new restaurant and bar space is located on the ground floor of the Valor Hospitality Europe managed hotel at Piccadilly. Inspired by Manchester’s industrial heritage, as well as its creative identity, the F&B concept is a unique and unconventional offering in the heart of the city.

Store Street Exchange offers everything from burgers to steaks, using local produce to provide outstanding, but uncomplicated, food and drink. Our signature dishes are based around the restaurant’s rotisserie and grill, from which regionally sourced chicken and steaks are served.

Guests are able to order a ‘whole bird’ with all the trimmings, steak cooked their favourite way, simple salads, fresh breads, quick bites and fine puddings too.

The venue launched earlier this month, with a celebration of all things Store Street. Guests, which included members of the BBC Breakfast team, were invited to sample steaks and chicken, as well as Prosecco, wine and a wide range of cocktails and craft beers.

Store Street Exchange and Store Street Craft Bar’s design and layout is relaxed and informal, with a variety of different seating areas and places that encourage creativity and the sharing of ideas.  These include semi-private dining options and mini-meeting spaces. The venue also has its own outdoor terrace.

Store Street Craft Bar is a standalone drinks venue with a focus on craft beers and cocktails, including plenty from Manchester’s own fabulous breweries and microbreweries.

Brian McCarthy, managing director of Valor Hospitality Europe, said: “At Valor, it’s important to us that each of our 17 hotels has its own distinct personality, and this is evident in this exciting new venue.

“Store Street Exchange’s design, and its menus, both embrace the character of Manchester and its people. Locals and guests from further afield have already responded very well to this alternative option at the DoubleTree by Hilton Manchester and we look forward to welcoming more hungry visitors.”

Robert Ford, general manager at DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel Manchester, said: “With the Store Street concept, we’ve brought something extra-special but simple to Manchester. We’re all about offering locally sourced ingredients, great food and a cracking collection of drinks in a place where people feel comfortable and relaxed.

“After months of hard work and planning, it’s fantastic to finally welcome people through our doors to enjoy our unique venue.”
