Jackson + Rye introduces brasserie dining with a New York state of mind

By James Russell: Jackson + Rye introduces brasserie dining with a New York state of mind

November 24, 2017

This November, Jackson + Rye brings New York brasserie dining to the streets of the UK, set in the elegant Art Deco Manhattan-style of all six restaurants. The menu now features a collection of brasserie dishes inspired by classic French flavours with an American twist, accompanied by signature cocktails and a tailored wine list.

It wouldn’t be a true New York brasserie experience without dishes served straight from the grill. At Jackson + Rye, guests are able to enjoy a selection of quality Black Angus steaks which have been matured for a minimum of 42 days. Cuts include the Fillet, Sirloin and Ribeye, along with the newly added Bavette, Dry-Aged Bone-In Rib Steak and a succulent Veal Chop.

A classic array of brasserie dishes has been introduced to the menu.  For appetisers, guests can enjoy Beef Carpaccio, with salsa, garlic aioli and shaved parmesan, or Burrata, served with smoky tomato relish and walnut gremolata.  Then for mains, choose from Seabass Fillets with samphire, brown shrimp & crab butter; King Prawn Linguine with courgette, capers, garlic, chili and rocket, or a herb marinated Half Roast Chicken, served with garlic butter and fries.

To round off the voyage, dessert choices include decadent Chocolate Fondant with salted caramel ice-cream and a classic all-American Pecan Pie served with caramel ice cream and a bourbon & maple syrup.

At Jackson + Rye Brasserie guests can enjoy cocktails around the stunning centrepiece bar before taking their seat in the leather clad booths. Classic cocktails such as Old Fashioned and Manhattan are served shaken or stirred, alongside house favourites such as the Love Child – an amorously titled twist on the martini- blending Belvedere vodka, lychee, vanilla, Cointreau & Prosecco, in addition to the spicy Illegal Negroni, made with Mezcal, Antica Formula & Campari.

Operations Director Adelle Pearman says: “Jackson + Rye prides itself on welcoming, attentive service, and with this shift we’ve fully come into our own as a New York brasserie. We have responded to our guests looking for a quality dining experience in a relaxed and stylish ambiance   and worked with our front and back of house teams to deliver the elegance and smooth operation of Manhattan dining in both flavour and service.”
