The Trafford, a favourite haunt of Manchester United Fans, reopens this weekend in time for the club’s first home game after the recent international break, following a £250k joint refurbishment by North West pub operator Bonilla Enterprise1 and Star Pubs & Bars.
The pub had been closed for a month, taking advantage of the club’s away game schedule. Its new look will include new signage and external redecoration in Manchester United’s Red, White & Black colours. Inside, a special family enclosure with stadium style fold down seating has been added. The rest of the pub is standing room only with stadium lighting and full-size wall floor to ceiling images of key victories and historical Man United events and Manchester Bee images, as well as the football memorabilia.
The entrance has been reconfigured, new flooring added, and the toilets overhauled.
The speed of service during busy match times will also improve as the multiple beer dispense units have been upgraded and a permanent bottle bar with more fridge and serving space added.
The pub will be available to hire free-of-charge on non-match days for United theme parties.

It celebrates all that is great about Manchester United.”
Andrew Jamieson, Business Development Manager at Star Pubs & Bars said: “With Manchester United flying high, it was time The Trafford was given a lift too. October was the only window in whole season when there wasn’t a home game. As soon as the Champions League draw was announced we got cracking on the refurbishment. If there had been a home game, it would have been delayed till 2018 as we didn’t want to inconvenience supporters.”
