Tea infused Christmas cocktail recipes from Drury

By James Russell: Tea infused Christmas cocktail recipes from Drury

October 30, 2017

London based coffee roaster and tea blender, The Drury Tea & Coffee Company, has developed two very different Christmas cocktails that are sure to appeal to tea lovers during the festive season. The new concoctions, served in vintage ‘1924’ glassware provided by Artis, have been christened Saint Nick’s Sidecar’ and ‘Winter Wonderland’. In each case, the liquor has been infused with tea using Drury’s Christmas tea, which is seasonally available now.

Drury’s Christmas tea pyramids don’t just make a great cup of tea, they also help make the perfect Christmas tipple. All you need to do is infuse one Drury Christmas pyramid teabag in your chosen spirit for at least 60 minutes, then squeeze the teabag well and discard. This year’s cocktails use brandy and are as follows:

Drury Christmas Tea

Drury produces a Christmas tea in a pyramid teabag each year for sale during the festive period. It is a blend of the finest black tea blended with apple, orange and Christmas spices. Warmly aromatic and spicy, with the rich scent of cinnamon and cloves, it tastes even better in a cocktail. The innovative pyramid shape of the teabag allows the teas and spices to circulate and brew properly whilst at the same time avoiding any messy residue. It is available in packs of 15 for £2.95 or 100s at £16.20.

Vintage 1924 glassware from Artis

Vintage cocktail glasses are all the rage and Libbey’s 1924 range is the very latest style, distributed exclusively by Artis. Its name evokes the grand epoque of cocktail drinking, the 20s. The collection comprises a coupe, wine/cocktail glass and G&T goblet, each with a list price of £3.99
