Vivek Singh’s first Cinnamon Kitchen restaurant outside of London is coming to Oxford and is offering 50% off food during its exclusive soft launch preview week, 24th – 31st October, ahead of its official opening in the new Westgate Oxford on 1st November.
With a menu of stunning modern Indian dishes, served daily, the kitchen will be led by Thangavel Murugavel andwill focus on local, seasonal ingredients with immaculately presented dishes designed to reflect the culinary traditions and depths of Indian cooking. Stand out dishes include appetisers of smoked haddock and Jerusalem artichoke cake with green chilli aioli and watermelon and chargrilled fruit chaat; alongside hearty mains of tandoori king prawns with Bengali turmeric curry and chukka spiced 35-day dry aged local beef rump. Enjoy Kerala-spiced lobster soup and flambéeddesserts tableside from the Cinnamon Kitchen trolley or pick your catch of the day from the striking ice block centrepiece.
Brunch packs a flavoursome punch with classic dishes given a modern Indian twist and delicate spicing with choices such as masala omelette with homemade pao and bhuna lamb naan roll.
For those looking for a more in-depth discovery of how their food gets from pan to plate, there will be a chef’s table and a semi-private ‘Pagoda’ room, ready for cooking demonstrations as well as private parties.
The bar will provide the perfect spot for pre-dinner cocktails and daytime drinks, shaking up spice-infused cocktails, local craft beers and a wide selection of wines, including some locally-sourced Oxford wine.
In the warmer months, Cinnamon Kitchen’s large rooftop garden terrace overlooking the iconic Oxford Spires, is the ideal spot for alfresco drinking and dining.
