The Savoy was announced winner of the first Customers’ Choice Award at the AA Hospitality Awards 2017-18, held on Monday 25 September. The event, which recognises and rewards service excellence in the best establishments around the UK, marked the 20th in the AA’s history and saw winners across 20 categories. World-renowned chefs, prominent hoteliers and restaurateurs, hospitality gurus and key media were in attendance.
New for 2017, the AA Customers’ Choice Award is powered by ReviewPro, the guest intelligence system that allows hoteliers to gain an understanding of reputation, performance and operational strengths and weaknesses. The award has been introduced to celebrate the hotel with the best guest reviews across 175 different online travel agencies and review sites in 45 languages. The Savoy scored the largest number of reviews with 2,871 posts (86% positive) following an analysis by ReviewPro of more than 2 million online guest reviews of 3,485 AA accredited establishments in the UK published in the last year.
