Home of the Roast, Toby Carvery is celebrating two local team members successes in its annual ‘Toby’s Got Talent’ competition.
Matthew Crank from Toby Carvery Heaton Chapel, and Dee Russ from Toby Carvery Thorpe Bay beat out tough competition from team members across 167 Toby Carvery’s across the country. Both competed against 24 other finalists in the last heat hosted at Mitchells & Butlers Head Office in Birmingham, going head to head and tackling a range of tasks and challenges, including a carve-off, a quick-fire selling round and a ‘Who’s Who’ guest profile quiz.
Following a challenging final and strong competition from the other finalists, Matthew Crank from Toby Carvery Heaton Chapel was crowned Toby Carvery’s 2017 Carver of the Year, and Dee Russ from Toby Carvery Thorpe Bay was crowned Toby Carvery’s 2017 Server of the Year, and both received £1,000 in recognition of their achievement.
‘Toby’s Got Talent’ is an internal competition in which all employees of Toby Carvery can enter and have their talents recognised alongside fellow servers and carvers across the entire UK.
