Farnham Castle is delighted to announce the appointment of Robert Wright as General Manager. Robert is a highly experienced hospitality professional with over twenty year’s industry experience and a passion for excellence.
Robert will be responsible for the day to day running and strategic direction of Farnham Castle, focussing on further enhancing its well-deserved reputation as a stunning wedding venue, at the same time as developing the conference, meeting and events business.
Speaking on his appointment, Robert said “I am delighted to be joining Farnham Castle and a fantastic team, whose passion and dedication to service and standards are second to none. The beautiful historic buildings and surroundings are perfect for any event and I’m really looking forward to working with the team and the local community”.
Farnham Castle is a beautiful venue, set in five acres of exquisitely maintained grounds in the charming town of Farnham, Surrey. Dating back to the 12th century, the Castle is one of the most important buildings in Southern England. Licensed for both civil and religious ceremonies, it boasts 32 bedrooms as well as a Honeymoon Suite and bridal preparation area within its unique Gatehouse. The atmospheric Great Hall is the heart of the Castle and can host up to 150 seated guests with a variety of dining options, as well as providing a flexible space for other events. For corporate clients, 11 comfortable meeting rooms are available, offering complete privacy.
The public can also enjoy Farnham Castle by visiting the Norman Keep or taking a historic guided tour of the Bishop’s Palace on most Wednesday’s and at other times by prior arrangement.
