A Witney hotel is undergoing a charming £200,000 refurbishment which will introduce a classic style to a comfortable home-from-home.
Under new management from Focus Hotels Management, the smart 4-star Oxford Witney Hotel, just off the A40 10 miles west of Oxford, is also being expanded, with the addition of six new bedrooms, bringing its total up to 93.
Tranquil terracottas, browns and greys dominate the new colour scheme, with the two key themes being comfort and relaxation.
Generous, elegant rooms and suites feature natural wool gingham carpets and all-modern furniture and fittings, including stylish henna Sketchley desk chairs and Hunter check Sketchley easy chairs. Dusk satin and white ceramic tiles complete the luxury bathrooms.
In addition to these initial developments Focus Hotels Management has plans to totally refurbish the remaining areas of the hotel over the next 12 months.

In the Brasserie restaurant, Cotswold charm blends with contemporary style and there are a number of striking features, including exposed Cotswold stone and a wine wall – a glass-encased wall of the hotel’s specially selected wines. A generous selection of freshly-prepared dishes is served here all day.
For events and conferences, the hotel offers fresh and flexible facilities in the Sherbourne Suite, which is fitted out with the latest technology and can be divided into three smaller, separate rooms. An in-house team will establish exactly what each customer needs, and organise set-up and break-down.
Oxford Witney Hotel has a versatile wedding suite, modern yet affordable, with a wedding coordinator who will be on hand to give help and advice on every small detail.
And of course all hotel guests get complimentary membership of the hotel’s own Blakes Leisure Club, which offers a heated swimming pool, fully air-conditioned gym, spa pool, sauna and steam room and physiotherapy facilities.
