The Art of the Brick: DC Super Heroes exhibition, which hosts legendary LEGO artist Nathan Sawaya’s famous and stunning works, has proudly opened its doors to private and corporate events.
The exhibition, housed on London’s South Bank is home to 120 large-scale sculptures featuring an assortment of legendary DC characters such as Batman, Wonder Woman, Superman, The Flash and The Joker which have been built from an estimated 2 million LEGO bricks, which provides the venue with a visual treat of rich scenery offering an immersive experience akin to that of a comic book. By day, this jaw-dropping exhibition hosts hundreds of members of the public but by night, the venue transforms into an exclusive events space capable of housing 500 guests for corporate and private functions.
The pop-up installation, which is due to end in September, boasts an idyllic central London location and works alongside events and office caterers, KUDOS Delivered who provide bespoke, high-end catering in the forms of canapes, food stations and bowl food that, when presented on the exhibition’s opening night, disappeared quicker than The Flash. The caterer aims to create bespoke, themed menus for each client that reflects their surroundings and takes inspiration from the exciting world of comic books.
Mark Williams from KUMA Exhibitions commented: “We have worked with KUDOS Delivered on several events since we opened, they have fantastic attention to detail and their style of service is extremely well suited to our environment. Very excited to be working with them to put our unique space on the corporate map.”
Commenting on the recent announcement, Sarah Holland, Head of Venue Reservations, commented: “It’s always so exciting seeing an interesting and truly unique venue such as this being opened to the events industry.”
Holland continued: “The venue is a dream come true for comic book fans but also accommodates for art lovers due to the intricacy of Sawaya’s work which is sure to inspire and provide fascinating scenery for guests.”
