Leading Italian restaurant group Made In Italy will open its eighth site in Battersea’s Northcote Road. Launching on 26th of May and called Made in Italy 3.0, the restaurant will be the first of a new generation of pizza concept sites, with a menu where customers can select from four different dough bases, each made from a specific Italian flour.

The 60 cover restaurant is located in the heart of Battersea’s dining area and will feature an outdoor space, seating 18. The interiors will feature an updated version of Made in Italy’s classic rustic style, which customers have become so familiar for the last 25 years.

For the new concept menu Made In Italy have crafted four sourdough bases consisting of: Multigrain, classic Neapolitan, stone ground type 2 and a gluten free base along with a monthly changing special. The team will be constantly experimenting with new flours and different hydrations in their special pizza laboratory, to produce new and exciting bases for their guests.

With changing dietary trends, Made in Italy 3.0 have incorporated Italian cooking traditions which can cater to gluten intolerant guests. Vegan customers will also be catered to, with vegan rice mozzarella available alongside the group’s other homemade cheeses made in their very own London cheese parlour in the heart of London.

The regularly changing, seasonal menu will use the finest traditional Italian ingredients, from San Marzano tomatoes from Campania to Made In Italy’s homemade burrata cheese. Signature pizzas include the BO.CA (Bologna-Catania) with Stracciatella di burrata, Mortadella from Bologna & Bronte Pistachios, The Calzone Fritto, a fried pizza stuffed with Ciccioli (pork crackling), ricotta & smoked mozzarella, and the Panuozza, pizza dough baked until charred, sliced lengthwise and stuffed with mushrooms, mozzarella, rocket & Parma ham. For dessert, guests can enjoy the the Calzoncino with Nutella, sweet homemade ricotta and served with vanilla gelato.

As with the food, Made in Italy 3.0 will also bringing Italian drinking culture to SW11. The cocktail list will focus on Amari (Italian bitters), with the restaurant’s homemade amaro served alongside imported varieties to make a selection of classic and signature drinks. Cocktails include signature Negronis and Spritz on draught, with red and white wine will also available on tap. After 9am, the lights go down and the music goes up, as Made in Italy 3.0 provides live entertainment on a regular basis.

Made in Italy group is owned by the Corsaro family, and its development and expansion is being spearheaded by Giuseppe, Sara and Angelo Corsaro.
