Ahi Poké, the casual all-day restaurant dedicated to serving the Hawaiian raw fish dish poké, is launching a second London site, within the new NOVA development in Victoria, this June. This follows the successful launch of the brand’s original restaurant in Fitzrovia last summer and represents the first step in a wider expansion plan.
Just like its popular W1 sibling, Ahi Poké Victoria will be decorated in calming pastel hues and built from sustainable materials including reclaimed driftwood. The restaurant will fuse the relaxed style of Hawaiian beach shacks with the laid-back bar vibes of LA and feature both indoor and outdoor seating areas.
Menus will be created by classically trained chef Jeremy Coste, who draws on traditional recipes while injecting inspiration from his travels. The result is fresh, nutritional poké bowls, bursting with clean, vibrant flavours. Both signature dishes and customisable options will be made to order from fresh ingredients and available to eat in, grab and go or order for delivery.
There will be four signature dishes to choose from:
- Oahu rice, ahi tuna, red onion, fried onion, radish, carrot, coriander, sesame shoyu
- Sweet Green kale, mushroom, edamame, confit ginger, radish, carrot, sweet ponzu
- Heat Wave quinoa, salmon, avocado, kimchee cucumber, red onion, coriander, sriracha mayo
- Venice quinoa, shrimp, confit ginger, pineapple, edamame, radish, Leche de Tigre
All poké bowls are made to order, using fresh ingredients, and can be customised as diners choose their favourite base (rice, quinoa, kale), protein (sustainably sourced salmon, ahi tuna and shrimp, or marinated mushrooms), sauce (sesame shoyu, sweet ponzu, leche de tigre, sriracha mayo) and topping (edamame, coriander, carrot, kimchee cucumber, radish, red onion, confit ginger, chilli grapefruit).
Daily and weekly specials will also be featured, alongside a selection of premium non-alcoholic beverages, and Earl Grey pineapple or milk chocolate cookies for dessert. To fit the brand’s sustainable ethos, all orders will be served in compostable containers.
Poké is everything a meal should be: healthy, filling and delicious. Encouraged by the instant popularity of the dish, Ahi Poké creators BVC Group (also behind Mayfair’s North Audley Cantine and Chez Chow) is looking to roll the brand out further. At NOVA in Victoria, it joins a growing food empire that also features restaurants from operators including Bone Daddies, D&D London, Shake Shack, Jason Atherton and Franco Manca.
