Three Poole hotels have teamed up with Tesla to accommodate the growing numbers of customers that are moving towards electric powered and hybrid vehicles.
The Haven Hotel and the Sandbanks Hotel on the Sandbanks peninsula and the Harbour Heights Hotel on Haven Road, all hotels belonging to the family-owned and run FJB Group of Hotels, have installed Vehicle Charging Stations, a move that perfectly reflects the company’s environmental policy.
Each station has one Tesla Destination Charger and two Universal Type-2 Chargers. Guests of the hotel and diners enjoying any of the four stunning restaurants in the three hotels can charge their electric or hybrid vehicles free of charge.
John Butterworth, FJB managing director said: “It is our responsibility and policy to encourage green living, each of us is responsible for our carbon footprint, therefore it is essential that we make every effort to reduce emissions and look to the future. Our customers can just plug in, enjoy a meal, spa-day or break and on return to their car it will be fully charged – free of charge!

Tesla’s Destination Charging Network focuses on hotels, restaurants, shopping centres and resorts making charging on the road as easy as charging at home.
FJB owns and operates the Haven Hotel, Harbour Heights Hotel, Sandbanks Hotel and Chine Hotel along with the Boscombe O2 Academy, Royal Arcade in Boscombe and the Richmond Theatre in London.
