Hotelier Philippe Clarinval will join Carlton St. Moritz as General Manager this autumn, taking over from Laurence and Dominic Bachofen who will leave the five-star hotel after 14 years to embark on a new journey.
Mr Clarinval, originally from Central Switzerland, has worked in hotels around the world including Europe, the USA and Asia, serving as the Resident Manager of Shangri-La Hotels & Resorts in Indonesia and Malaysia and Managing Director of the five-star Omnia Mountain Lodge luxury hotel in Zermatt. He is President of the AlpAdria Chapter of the Cornell Hotel Society and a member of the European Hotel Managers Association.
Mr Clarinval says, “Taking over the management of this five-star hotel which is rich in history yet still modern is a great honour. I am delighted to have the opportunity to play a part in its future development.”
