Smashburger, one of the fastest growing restaurant concepts in the US, is heading to the South West this May to open its fourth UK restaurant in Bath City Centre on Southgate Street.
What makes this burger different? The secret’s in the “smash” – a unique method of cooking whereby 100% British Red Tractor Assured beef is hand-formed into a meatball and then smashed onto a hot buttered grill, searing in all the juices and flavour, producing a burger unlike any other. Combine this unique cooking method with the best of British ingredients and you get a truly delicious standout burger.
Other tasty options will include chicken breast sandwiches and an avocado and garlic grilled Portobello cup vegetarian burger as well as freshly prepared salads and irresistible sides like the garlic and rosemary Smash fries, all at affordable prices that can be enjoyed by dining in or taking away. A wide range of drink options will be available including a Coca Cola Freestyle touch-screen soda fountain containing over 100 different fizzy combinations from your favourite brands including Coca Cola, Fanta, Dr. Pepper, Sprite and Powerade. Craft beers, wines and creamy ‘handspun’ shakes made with Häagen–Dazs® ice cream will also be available.
The restaurant will be open seven days a week, bringing a slice of New York’s trendy meatpacking district to the streets of Bath. Spread over two floors, Smashburger will have a bold industrial look with exposed brick, hanging pendant lights and urban typography, describing the heritage story.
Smashburger promises to deliver on speed, taste and atmosphere in an ‘every occasion’ burger restaurant that Bath residents can call their own.
