Chef Jason Everett was part of the team that helped Marco Pierre White attain two of his three Michelin Stars at his famed Harveys restaurant.
Harveys was the restaurant in Wandsworth, London run by Chef Marco Pierre White between 1987 and 1993. Marco Pierre White’s Harveys was warmly received by food critics, and it was named Restaurant of the Year by The Times in 1987. It was where White became the youngest chef ever to win two Michelin stars.
Jason Everett worked alongside Gordon Ramsay for two years while Marco Pierre White was leading the brigade and building his reputation with Harveys. Jason is now heading up the Marco Pierre White’s Steakhouse Bar & Grill at Cadbury House in North Somerset as executive head chef.
Jason now plans to make Somerset’s Marco Pierre White’s Steakhouse Bar & Grill the go-to destination for those wanting a quality but affordable meal out.
He also plans to make the venue the flagship steakhouse where he will teach tomorrow’s cooks methods and skills that made Pierre White the youngest chef to have attained three Michelin stars.
Jason said: “Marco has always kept in touch to see what I’ve been up to so we got together at the 25th anniversary exhibition of his ground breaking White Heat book. It was there that he asked if I would be interested in taking over the steakhouse at Cadbury House.
“The things I learned with Marco while at Harveys have never gone away and I now plan to pass on that knowledge to the team here. It was a small kitchen but ultimately helped build my career and I want to do the same for those coming into the sector.
“I also want to create something where the expectations are high and there is a good level of consistency so that customers and guests can experience Marco’s vision of affordable glamour.
“It’s a fantastic venue like no other and the chance to work with Marco again was difficult to turn down. After all, how often do you get asked by one of cooking’s greats to run one of his restaurants!”
